Pissed On, Pissed Off
Today, I get this email from Bob's teacher:
I just wanted to let you know that Bob's behavior the past few days has been pretty much on the edge. He did get his name out of the pocket chart yesterday and today I had to send him to the office because he was in the restroom in the hallway by the recess doors and he urinated on another student. I was wondering if you were noticing this type of behavior at home also.
Jesus. Fucking. Christ.
Why, yes, we have noticed his behavior deteriorating at home, also. Starting last week when his dipshit of a douchebag sperm donor showed him video footage of me asking the police to kindly escort him and his cuntbag sister off my fucking property.
All I can say is this--he's lucky (1) I don't own a firearm and (2) I don't particularly want to have this baby in prison.
A week ago, Bob was a star student, a model citizen, the bright spot in his class. He loved school. I suspect he still does. But after last Wednesday, things have taken an all-too-familiar turn.
Tonight, after dinner, Ben and I are going to have a Come To Jesus Meeting with Bob and attempt to steer him back on track. I don't know what else to do. He has no "currency," whatever we take away or make him do or otherwise inflict as punishment has no effect on him whatsoever.
I just hope he gets himself back in line soon. I absolutely cannot endure a repeat performance of preschool.

Yeah, I'd say that DB's little video show probably had a lot to do with it.
Chin up. You know he's a good kid, he's done so well the past few weeks. It's been so nice to read about how well he's doing in school...so hopefully he can move past a few bad days and get back on track.
I echo Builder Mama and Joansy's comments. Can you share with his teacher the events that transpired? Giving them background info allows them to also aid in Bob's re-programming. Write down what happened that night, get the Police report, create the backup paperwork so when you have the "requiste" events tallied together, you can again petition the Court. Can you contact the GAL? Share what's happening? GAL is still (even though "case" has been decided) supposed to be concerned w/best interests of Bob and db's latest STUNT is so NOT in Bob's best interest.
Hang in there and as far as Bob Currency goes, what is his most favorite thing to do. Is he still BMXing? Bike rides with you? Find something he DOES like and attempt to use that as collateral.
I totally agree with builder mama. We all know he's a great kid and we all know he's a little sod when db gets his hands on him. I also echo Marcia's suggestion and tell his teacher everything that's going on so she has the heads up? Poor little Bob is so angry and confused, it's not surprising he's acting out.
Hang in there, you're doing a great job with him. The key here is to encourage, not punish, but I know that's easy to say when you feel like things are going backwards. He'll come through, you'll see.
