Yes, Son, You ARE a Wing Nut
In a fit of vacation-inspired boredom, Ben painted our headboard today. So I went to the hardware store to pick up some nuts and bolts with which to attach it to our bed. I took Bob with me.
A 5-year-old boy in a hardware store...Jesus H.
At least he admitted to sticking the small foam paintbrush in his pocket long before we ever left the store. And at least he kept the rubber band he took off the "extend-arm" thing he was trying to reach higher shelves with. And at least he only took a few of the paint chips. And he only knocked down a few cans of spray paint. And he only pulled a few assorted bolts from their size-specific boxes and put them back in the wrong bins.
At any rate, 79 cents later, the headboard is attached to our bed. It looks like ass against our current suck-rental-beige wall, but it will look absolutely stunning against our new chocolate brown one in 46 days...
