A Bitch is a Bitch is a Bitch

I got the response to my email yesterday afternoon. You remember, the email to the douchebag asking if he would be willing to take Bob to t-ball practices and Saturday games in the event I were to sign him up?

Motherfucker.

The first two dbmail responses were just stupid, petty, argumentative ones of the "why are you asking me this? you always just do what you want anyway" variety. the third made me wonder how this fuck manages to look himself in the eye in the mirror every day:

I am not trying to argue with you, it seems that you are making a argument out of this though. Here is the deal in the spring and summer my parenting time is just that my parenting time and you will not dictate what I do during that time. You denied me five and a half months of parenting time with "our" son last summer and I will not be bullied into something that "you" force (Bob) and I to do during my parenting time. You also will not schedule events during my parenting time. All I hear is what "you" think (Bob) wants and needs. Over the past year and a half you have made decisions that affect (Bob) that are not in his best interest with no regard with how it will affect him later in life. So, as I have stated many times before, " you will do whatever you want" with no regard with how it affects anyone else but yourself.

Unfuckingreal. I just don't even know how to respond to this. First of all, I wasn't "dictating" anything--I specifically asked if he would be willing to participate. Secondly, I did not "deny" him 5 1/2 months of parenting time last summer--I believed my child was in danger as a direct result of his bad choices (like shacking up with a crazy alcoholic with four equally psycho children) and instead of trying to work things out, he tried to get his way through intimidation and force (and it backfired on him). Third, I don't see how asking him for a straight answer as to whether or not he would or would not agree to participate is "bullying him into" doing anything. Fourth, something I "force" them to do? It's fucking t-ball, for Christ's sake, not church camp. Fifth, if I make certain not to schedule any events that may occur during "his" parenting time, that means Bob won't be able to participate in any activities that don't occur on either Tuesday or Wednesday, because those are the only days of the week that db doesn't have Bob at some point in the month, which pretty much limits him to chess club. Sixth, of course I've made decisions for MY 5 YEAR OLD CHILD based on what I think and what I know--it's kind of MY JOB AS A PARENT, YOU FUCKING RETARD.

So I put a call in to Parks & Rec to see if Bob can still play even though he might miss a few practices and a few Saturday games because his "father" is a fucking vindictive asshat. If they say it's no big deal, then I'll sign him up and he can just play when he's with us.

Hopefully I'll have sole custody as of April 10, anyway, and this won't even be an issue anymore. I wonder if db realizes this is just further evidence in favor of my argument that he shouldn't have visitation during the school week because he interferes with Bob having a social life or any life that doesn't directly involve him?

I'm just fucking fed up with the whole pile of bullshit. I'm fucking sick and tired of running damage control--Bob was great all last week until Thursday--when he knew db was picking him up--and so far this week he's done little more at school than sleep and be argumentative. Every fucking time he goes to db's, it takes me at least 3 days to get him back "on track," and by the time he's back to normal, it's time to send him right back over there. It's fucking bullshit, and I'm tired of it. I'm fucking sick of no one seeming to give a damn how he treats me or how he treats Bob and hiding behind their stupid notion of "he's a father, he has rights." Fuck his rights. What about BOB'S rights? What about mine?

I was so pissed off and fed up last night that after I went to the gym and spent 30 minutes on the elliptical and 10 minutes on the bike, I still didn't feel better, so I went home and totally blew my diet. The chili cheese fries Ben and I had for dinner were probably bad enough (even though we baked the fries and shared a plate), but I sealed the deal with the last Church's biscuit and an entire can of Rotel with chips. And two squares of dark chocolate. And I don't give a damn.

The bright side = you didn't smoke! I'm hoping that the judge sees Bob doesn't need the DB in his life and you gain sole custody in April!

if its any comfort, i know a couple of kids with divorced parents and a father who is a piece of shit...they used to see their dad all the time and they were wise to his 'fatherly deficits' (which only made them more appreciative of their home life) and then eventually they would ask not to have to go to see their dad.
that may happen sooner than later with Bob if he starts playing ball and looks forward to games. he may even begin to resent his dad for causing him to miss his games/practices. (?)

good luck...
actually you need more than luck.
but you're handling it all better than i would.
i don't even drink {regularly} and i'd probably be hitting the bottle after bed time! ;)

I didn't know that summer was 5 1/2 months long. Weird.

db is such an ass. I hope you get sole custody. His actions do nothing but prove that Bob is merely a weapon to use against you. There is no real love there.
