You Can't Fix Crazy, Either
First of all, I suppose I should clarify my final comment yesterday. Of course I don't want db to shoot me. If I had a death wish, I'd have stayed with him. I just meant that if he ended up going on a murderous rampage, I'd prefer he just shoot me and leave my husband and kid to safely try to get on with their lives. Obviously, it wouldn't be that easy at all--but it would sure beat all of us getting whacked.
Anyway, I've now changed my mind and my first choice would be for db to just take a big dose of Fuckitol and shoot himself.
He got served with my restraining order this morning, and not five minutes later, sent me this email:
You know how I feel about Bob and what I have done for him in the past. You also know that I only want the best for him and that I love him with all of my heart. The way he treats and talks to me is killing me, I am not sure if its the medication, or our fight with one another. At this point it doesn't matter, what does matter is what is in the best interest of Bob. In October when the judge signed the new order, I was sad and upset, but there is nothing I can do about it, except take you back to court and see if another judge will see this fight for what it is. I decided that I would just sit back and live with the decision and enjoy my parenting time with Bob and relish the time I have with him, because the most important thing is that Bob is in a good neighborhood and that he is in a great school. The most important thing is that Bob gets a good education and not to deal with our fight. On November 23 we had an argument in front of Bob and I have to say that it was the worst time that I had spent with him. His behavior was uncontrollable and attitude was down right angry. I wanted to make sure that that did not happen again. I was advised to file and ex part against you and your husband which is not what I wanted to do. Now I am faced with jail time and large fines, all for what? I CANNOT FIGHT WITH YOU ANYMORE!!!This fight has cost us both a lot of money, stress and sleepless nights, and for what? The only ones that have gotten anything out of this are attorneys. Not to mention the stress it has put on you, your husband, Bob and myself. Please let me know what you want and or need to end this fight between us. I am willing to whatever it takes for Bob's best interest. It took both of us to give birth to Bob and it takes both of us to raise him. I see that after 6 years that we will not or cannot work together in his best interest. So, this is your decision to let me know what it will take to end the fight in the best interest of our son.
Can you hear the violins in the background?
Oh, how badly I had to fight to keep from typing "(1) sign a TPR (termination of parental rights) and consent to adopt, and (2) kill yourself. That oughta do it" and hitting send.
The tone of this email is that of a desperate father who deeply loves his child and just can't understand why his crazy baby mama can't just let that happen. Oh that that were the case. I can guarantee that before this day is over, I will have received another email, written in a much less friendly tone than this one. Much, much less.
And the saddest part--he has no idea how great a role he plays in Bob's ongoing struggle. Just last night he sat on the phone and blamed Bob for not going home with Aunt Nutjob on Wednesday, that it was his fault he didn't get to see db. And when Bob told him "I'll see you Wednesday," db said "you think so? I don't know, I don't think your mother will allow it." He has no idea how greatly those words affect Bob. And he doesn't care. Because he's a fucking crazy narcissist with no thought for anyone but himself. Oh, poor me, I'm going to go to jail and it's through no fault of my own.
God, I fucking hate crazy people.

I'm just wondering who wrote the email for him.
good point, g--there aren't enough misspelled words for it to be his own work.
What Gretchen said ... from effing db's previous email rants you've shared ... it sounds like the damn thing was ghost written and you know, as well as I know, the attorneys I work for often draft letters, etc for their clients.
Have you ever watched Enough with Jennifer Lopez - I know I know JLo blah blah ... but she's been abused by her hubby, he tries to take her child, she fights back and one of the things she does is plant letters she's sent to him, indicating that he and she have been trying to work it out, so it looks like he just - once again - up and flipped out and she killed him in self-defense.
To me, the communication sounded like he was trying to make it appear that HE was the one trying to work crap out and YOU've been the unreasonable one, when we all know the reverse is true.
Oh I so agree with what has been said above. That email is scary. It seems completely out of character for him. Think wisely before you answer. I know you will.
He scares me.
Yeah, I'm with the others - there is no way that DB wrote it. I'm wondering how long he's been crafting this email since he sent it to you only five minutes after getting the RO? Or do you think he has his attorney on permanent standby now?
Every time I think he has done something ridiculous, he manages to amaze me with something new.
