Coming Together

Today, I had no phone interviews, no lunch dates with kindergarteners, no cats to pick up in BFE, and no money to spend on anything fun--so I worked on clearing out the rest of our stuff from the garage and either unpacking it or socking it away in the basement (organizing of which will be Ben's responsibility--it's an arachnophobe thing). I did laundry. I unpacked (most of) the remaining boxes lying around. And now we can not only easily access our bicycles and lawn & garden equipment, but I can also park in the garage.

Now I just need to figure out where to find the tiny little 12 volt batteries required by our "vintage" garage door openers. (Seriously, our garage door is older than my husband.)

We're slowly but surely figuring out where everything goes. I probably won't get around to finishing the hall bath until Bob's next weekend with db, but it's no big deal. We have three bathrooms. I can avoid that one if I so wish.

I have about $10 to my name until payday, but it doesn't really matter. I have a wonderful home, a great family (now complete with two fat cats and a pain-in-the-ass dog), and good friends.

Isn't that just so fuckin' sweet it sends you into a diabetic coma?
