The End Is Near...

Of T-Ball:
Last game is this Saturday, followed by a season-end picnic, at which db will most assuredly be doing his damnedest to be noticed and, as Ben so eloquently put it, will show up with "a gallon of stupid and a case of redneck." Thank frigging Christ. I swear, you have no idea the serious amounts of restraint it is currently taking me to NOT physically attack db every time I see his stupid face. And Bob's ready to be done. We had a heart-to-heart on the way to school yesterday, and he admitted to me he's not real into the game. Damn. Baseball is the only sport I could give two shits for, and it looks like I'm not going to have the next Steve Balboni on my hands. Oh, well. He wants to try his hand at BMX, so I guess now is the time to see how close we are to meeting our insurance deductible...

Of Sweet Freedom:
Bossman and Fam return stateside on Thursday. I'm wishing on him a serious case of jetlag that will render him unable to return to the office until at least Monday. It's not been an easy chore to practice law alone (especially without a law degree), but I have to say, I've been able to get so much done in his absence. Not to mention the lack of panic if I happen to be running 5 or 10 (or 20) minutes late, or want to leave a few minutes early. It's been nice.

Of Summer:
Yeah, it just got here, and it's already almost friggin' July. And after the 4th, it's a downhill slide.

Of Preschool:
July plus two (or one? I forget) weeks in August, then it's goodbye familiar, hello public school. I can't think about it or I'll cry. In a way I'm eager to make the change--less money shucked out for tuition, a change of pace for Bob (hopefully one he'll adjust to without much difficulty). On the other hand, this marks his official exit from little kid-dom and his rise to adulthood. Okay, thinking about it, have to stop.

Of Renting:
We're meeting with My Favorite Realtor today at the house to get her opinion of what to offer and will hopefully submit an offer this week. I think we're really going to do this.

Of this post.
