Boys Are Back In Town

:)

I didn't even wake up yesterday morning until 10:00. And my legs immediately yelled out, "NO! Don't do it! Stay in bed! Please!" And who am I to disobey my legs? So I hung out under the sheets with Mini Moose (the stuffed moose I snagged from the neighbors' yard sale Saturday) for another half hour, then dragged my sorry fat ass out of bed.

I decided to ride my bike around and check out the First Watch situation--sure enough, there was a line of old people out to the street, everyone wanting to buy Mom brunch to shut her up for another year--so I kept riding. 11:00 am and it was already hot, so I had broken a sweat by the time I got back to the house. I decided to make myself a nice "brunch" of turkey and Miracle Whip Light on white bread, string cheese and yogurt. Then I cleaned out my car. After finding a whole McCheeseburger (still wrapped) hard as a brick in my backseat, I decided to pull out the big guns. I took the car to the car wash, and once it was shiny and the inside vaccuumed, came home and attacked it with a bottle of carpet/upholstery cleaner. And WOW--my car hasn't been so clean in years.

After that, I was beyond sweaty, so I changed into my swimsuit and decided to scare the shit out of the neighbors--I mean, lay out in the back yard and work on my tan. With the hose. All that was missing was the trailer. But it was nice to just lay there in the sun, baking, with no distractions.

I finally got up and took a shower and just as I was putting my clothes on--Ben's home! Hooray!

I can't believe how much I missed him. As much as I bitch about him sometimes and as much as he sometimes tap dances on my nerves, I just love having him around. He really is my best friend. And I can't say anything more about it because I'm getting all gushy and I'm not wearing waterproof mascara. I'll just say I'm lucky, lucky, lucky to have him and I'm so glad he's home.

And The Bob came home at 6. It's gotten to be almost funny the way he tries to see if we've decided in his absence to completely dispose of all the house rules. Almost.
